Fork Brewing & Hawkshead Brewery Collaboration: Parallel Importer Porter

We will be releasing a new beer (city-wide) on Wednesday the 18th March at 5pm.

Parallel Importer [Porter] is our second international collaboration and was made with Matthew Clarke from Hawkshead Brewery in the Lakes District (Northern England). the following Wellington bars will be releasing it at the same time on the 18th:

...and of course, here at Fork and Brewer

The beer is a Kiwi take on the award-winning "Brodie's Prime Porter" - part of the Lakeland Range from Hawkshead Brewery.

"Take a lad from Taranaki & an ex-pat Wanganui boy (Matthew Clarke, who is brewing up a storm in the multi-award winning Hawkshead Brewery in Cumbria, England), throw them into a brewery and let them go. The result is this deliciously balanced hoppy brown porter. Motueka and NZ Cascade hops have been liberally dosed into this wonderful Kiwi malt-driven beauty. Enough chocolaty malt to tickle the tonsils of the dark beer lovers & a cornucopia of juicy berry hop notes to please the hop fans. It finishes smooth with a hint of sweetness. This beer is an ode to Matt’s amazing (and award-winning) Brodie's Prime Porter and we think he’d be pretty pleased with the result!"
