A Little Forker release. Golden Holden is another beer in Kel’s #NumberOfTheYeast series, where he experiments using different yeasts in his regular release of beers. Using the wort from our Gold Medal Famous Aotearoa Golden Ale, this brew was fermented with Wyeast’s London Ale III yeast strain, which is rumoured to have its beginnings at the famous Fuller’s Brewery in Chiswick, London. The original Gold Medal Famous is very subtly dry-hopped with Sauvin and Southern Cross, so for something a little different, and to match the fruity intensity of the esters produced from the English strain of yeast, this beer was dry-hopped with a huge amount of American Amarillo. At 10 grams of dry hop per litre, this is up there with some of the biggest hop-loadings of any beer ever at Fork! The result is fruity peach aromatics, and a subtly malty base. #BetterThanBathurst
